Kratos fanart since I have been seeing the commerical for God of War 3 every fucking day. I assume it is more of jump on this monster, press O then X and watch Kratos cut limbs off and then run around pushing statues to do jump puzzles because games have never advanced from Super Mario jump puzzles. Or maybe GoW3 will be a mega event, I won't know though since I don't know a console from this century. Who is up for some Atari though?




I bought a few random Copic markers (which are disturbing expensive) and decided to mess around with them. I see artist turn out mind boggling art with them. I also want to work on my complete lack of knowledge of shading. Keeping in vien of this Lent drawing things I don't ever draw motiff I did fan art of Spike Spiegel. I am a big fan of Cowboy Bebop and always get a little choked up at the last episode. I can't draw anime style (or at all) so I tried to make a Poguesque Spike. I do like how this turned out. I need to go back and do something about the blacks though. That is what I get for using a sharpie.

More random art. Two Hellboy pictures.

Drew last night, inked today. Don't like it as much as I did when I first drew it.

So I suck pretty hard at updating this thing. I will say I have been drawing everyday, but a lot of it has been random sketches or whole plages of eyes. Nothing that is really worthy of posting for the 4 of my readers to see.

I have been looking at my art and decided I need to firm up my style more. I basically draw the samething every week with the webcomic and it is basically getting to be sort of automatic, I don't even have to try.

Anyway, in an attempt to see if I can draw things in my "style" (using that word losely) I drew a few comic book characters.

That's Captain America. I drew a hulk picture too, but it was less in my style and more in the style of a regular comic book artist. Must have been an accident that it turned out htat way. Next we have two joker drawings, neither of which is very good and both were done in less than 3 minutes. The profile was like a minute I think when I was just messing around. I'm not sure why I gave him the old Schulte haircut either.




Lastly is something I drew last week as a warm up before drawing the comic. I have been trying to do warm ups before the comic, but I usually can't think of anything so I asked a good friend of mine to help me, which was a mistake since she is obsessed with mythology so I had to draw a satyr. As you can see I didn't really know what to do.



That's all for now. I'll try to draw something worthwhile soon. If I come up with an idea or someone wants to give me one.

After some random people have said I should post again (although I have a feeling most of them were just Schuyler) I have decided to update my livejournal.

Also, some of you (i.e. no one) might see that the last time I posted was back in like 2008 for Lent, which is really depressing that I just stopped drawing. Well, it's Lent time again and I think trying to spend more time drawing is a good thing to do. I have been negelecting my art for awhile in favor of sitting around and doing nothing. I think Sloth is one of the seven deadly sins or at least in the top 10. Anyway, look for some updates during the 40 days of Lent and hopefully continuing after. If there is anything particular you would like see me draw post it in the comments please.

At any rate here is some artish like stuff.

I got a new job a few months back working for a printing company and during a slow period around Thanksgiving I found myself with a little bit of time at work. I also had finished a job where there was a decent amount of wasted paper which I saved and turned into a sketch book. I drew this entirely in sharpie marker at work and then used it as the cover for the sketch book.


I found this on my harddrive and realized I had never posted it. I drew this all the way back in 2008 during Lent ironically enough. This was done during a game of Zombie RPG where I had been wounded and didn't get to use my turns for anything other than not bleeding to death.


AND last, but not least, the final drawing I did of the zombie characters from that role playing game. This one was of Frank, a very nice guy who has begun to threaten me over never scanning this image. Frank can be scary too. He's like a redheaded viking Jesus, but with less Son of God and more mead.

I was trying to just work on drawing girls, which is something I think I am quite horrible at. I also have wondered how to draw people kissing so some how it turned into lesbians. The lips need work, maybe i will try again. Who knows.

I bought some non-photo blue pencils to try them out since a lot of artist swear by them. I do like it that I don't have to erase after I draw whatever and it has come in handy with Rose City this last time around. I think it will make lettering a lot easier as well. Anyway, to make sure that my scanner would indeed not pick up the pencils when I scanned it I just drew a random image and so I turned this thing out. It is a few characters from the zombie apocalypse dnd game we have been playing. This is just a scribe and a soldier from an ultra religious survivors camp that has appeared near us.

Here is the lastest Zombie Apocalyse RPG drawing. He is our medic/gene slicer class. He also has crazy knowledge of guns which makes the game more fun. He is a pretty good guy all around. I think this drawing came out all right. I tried more of an action stance and I think it turned out pretty decent. Check it out.

Here are two drawings of girls. One was done about 6 months ago (the Ween girl) and one about a week ago (based off a panel of Kim Pine from Scott Pilgrim). You can see the difference...or maybe you can't. I think I do. I still need to work on eyes and on their stances. I have a hardtime drawing acurate stances. They always look awkward. I have been just drawing pictures of girls from other comics and photos to work on stances. Anyway, here they are, first one is the older one.

In this weeks Rose City you can see a poster in the first panel, that poster is a death cab for cutie poster. I band I hate to admit I like as much as i do. Anyway, I drew a tiny Ben Gibbard in it and for some reason it made me laugh really hard. So last night while watching office repeats I drew this full sized version of Chibi Ben. It makes me smile.
